hair cuts

After 4 years of living in London I still haven't found a hairdresser to go to on a regular basis. This is partly because I've moved from South to North and partly because I've never been that impressed with the ones I have tried. It's not that I have unreasonably high expectations, I'm not much of a diva at all when it come to my hair, partly because I'm always too lazy to style it very much. I've had great cuts, bad cuts and ok cuts, but they don't always match the ambiance of the salon or the attitude of the hairdresser or the price. Recently I've tried out a few salons in central London, mostly using offers from wahanda and groupon which is great but does tend to mean I can never afford to return there for a subsequent hair cuts.

My sister is one of those people who changes her hair fairly regularly (at least more often than me). In the last couple of years she's had it short, long, blonde and brunette and it always really suits her. I've had long hair for about 6 years now and decided it was about high time I too did something exciting with it. I booked an appointment, decided I wanted short hair that hung just above my shoulders. Then I bottled it, opting instead to have 2 inches off the bottom instead of the normal one. And then I panicked that it was too short, didn't suit me at all and made me look like a boy.

My housemate didn't even clock that I'd had it cut.

The salon itself was fine by the way, but I'll probably still try somewhere new next time, after all it seems I'm still in search of the perfect cut.

I loved Ena Salon on Great Queen Street. I used to go to Christa who I also completely loved. All the others there were great too. Highly recommend it if you're interested in trying somewhere new!
