the perfect present

My boyfriend is VERY good at present buying. He's extremely thoughtful and will often surprise me by remembering things I've mentioned in passing months ago. Which is amazing and I'm really not complaining in any way, but it does make it a tough act to follow. His birthday is after mine and I only have a week or so to sort out what I'm doing. I have a few ideas, but am not quite sure which direction to go in. What I'd really like to do is ask him, but that spoils all the fun. I normally pride myself on thoughtful gifts too but find it's must harder to buy presents for men, (my Dad is the same). Basically because if men want something, they will buy it for themselves...

Hmmm tricksy. The only option is to buy something he doesn't know about yet. Perhaps a favourite author, band, film series has something out that he doesn't know about. We have a rule in our house that he isn't allowed to buy anything a month before Christmas etc. Plus we got to a point when we talk about presents now. Maybe it's just a matter of time... : )

You're very lucky. He sounds like a keeper. :-)
