Moving house is always stressful but in our case it wasn't helped by being given the wrong keys and literally having to break into the flat (with the help of a locksmith) and then discovering we had a gas leak which meant we had no gas at all for a week (our agent told us not to worry, apparently it's normal for metres to smell like gas...!) But the good news is the flat has been re-painted, the lock fixed and it's feels like home. Now the winter nights are drawing in I'm looking forward to the prospect of curling up on my own sofa in front of my own TV, well half mine at least as I was reminded when I came home and the football was on. Again.

Congratulations on your first home! Sounds like you've had a stressful start to your new life but just think you'll be getting ready for your first Christmas in your own home soon! xx
Hmmmm football? Not a good sign. Buy him a pair of Marigolds for Xmas and give it to him if he gives you anything which belongs in the kitchen! That'll teach him ;-)
